Privacy

Polimeter does not track you across sites. Our own visit counter uses no cookies; Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity use cookies only if you allow them.

How we count visits

To show what people are opening, each page view is counted with a code made from a random key that changes every day, your IP address and the name of your browser. The key is deleted the next day, so the code cannot be traced back to you or linked across days. Your IP address itself is never stored. Bots are not counted.

In your browser

Without your permission, the only thing stored in your browser is your answer to the analytics question. Our own visit counter stores nothing.

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity

The first time you visit, we ask whether you allow analytics. If you say yes, Google Analytics counts visits and Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, with anything you type hidden), both with cookies. If you say no, Clarity does not run, and Google Analytics only receives a signal that a page was opened, with no cookie and no identifier. You can change your answer at any time with Analytics settings at the bottom of every page.

Advertising

Ads, when they appear, are plain images and links. They set no cookies and collect nothing about you.
